Holy guacamole. I had this great idea at the start of the last night’s The Walking Dead episode to write about Tyrese’s conflicting statements about destiny then later about choices and freewill. Which all kind of ties up with ‘what makes a zombie’. Where zombies are pure destiny, lacking any freewill. The zombie apocalypse world is fully destiny driven, and even the survivors are stripped of the feeling of ‘choice’. Yet Tyrese seems to rage against this.
I think this psychological struggle occurs in many survivors. After my accident I negotiated between the two all the time: destiny vs. freewill. If I had just left the house two minutes earlier, if I hadn’t ridden my bike that morning, if I had only done everything differently, I wouldn’t feel like I shouldn’t be alive. (I’ve moved on from that- don’t worry about me. Therapy! Yay!)
So I was thinking along these lines while watching the show. But then? Shitballs.
I can’t even. I won’t spoil anything but I’ve spent the past twelve hours shaking my head.
Nice retooled intro though, right? And how annoying was it that the Talking Dead didn’t come on until 11? I fell asleep before then and now can’t find it on demand. Ugh. Anyway, destiny fucking sucks.

The Cocktail Hour posted this super funny Sienna Miller for Vogue video. It had me cracking up, self taught ballet? I love it. I, too, know some self taught ballet, but my self taught karate is less dangerous to those around me.
In an effort to continue to pimp my Chairish account, ahem and my special promo code (BathSense20 works sitewide!! Until Feb 11) I took it upon myself to find some killer vintage earrings like Sienna Miller’s the chandelier one (singular, she’s wearing one singular earring) in the video above.
How about these basket weave with topaz ones listed by V Vintage in Beverly Hills 90210? They’d be a good gift for the V-Day, damas y caballeros.
Back to the topic of Sienna Miller, do you guys like her? Though the movie Factory Girl (about Edie Sedgewick who I adore!) was pretty tedious, I can’t think of anything else that she’s been in. But I find her very stylish and gorgeous (of course) and this video above is such a delight.
Our house is so empty of groceries that I had a toasted hot dog bun for breakfast. I told my mom about it and almost began crying. TOASTED HOT DOG BUN!
Today’s bangles: Swarovski crystal bangles, gem charm bracelet from my mom, agate bangle, Tiffany’s hearts. The agate and Swarovski ones are for sale HERE, use the promo code BathSense20 to get -20% off.
Today I checked my stats on how search engines find my blog. As usual, there are a large number of porn hits. Dog porn drives the most traffic to VeryBangled.com followed quickly by kopek porn. I googled kopek, it means ‘dog’ in Turkish. Score! I’m bringing in the international dog porn searchers! After we wade thru all the multiple porn and dog searches, the next most frequent search theme that brings you to me* is Forever + Henry Morgan + pocket watch. In a variety of combos.
Everybody is trying to find the brand of Henry Morgan’s pocket watch. This is some hard information to come by. My other Henry Morgan post and my other pocket watch post don’t return the exact brand. But you know what? After a lot of research today, I think Henry Morgan’s watch is by A. Lange Sohne, and dude, that isht disturbs the Forever timeline!
A. Lange Sohne started in 1845 which doesn’t exactly jive with Henry Morgan’s narrative (being born in 1779 and all.)(Interesting side note, A. Lange Sohne’s stamp changed sometime after 1890 with an added curve to the ‘A. Lange’ part of the logo which is much different from Henry Morgan’s watch.)(Oh my god. I think I might accidentally be the Henry Morgan pocket watch expert.)
So then I wondered if there were any great pocket watches on Chairish.com since I have a -20% discount code that works until Feb 11, BathSense20, for you all to use. Anyway, no pocket watches! But I found this awesome bracelet/watch that I have never seen on an episode of Forever. However I have faith that with the right tie Henry Morgan could make it work.
*Welcome! All coffee is complimentary but cream is extra. Also, you are probably going to be disappointed on the dog/porn front.

One of the long lasting downsides of being run over by a truck is that I’m not great in traffic. I’m an easily scared passenger, nervous driver, completely non-bicycler, jumpy pedestrian. So mostly I stick to the sidewalk. Fortunately work is just a mile away so it’s pretty easy to live life as a pedestrian.
It’s dark now when I close shop. I think about my visibility all the time. I wear a lot of white jackets and white pants. I’m very focused walking, I look into the eyes of drivers when I cross in front of them, I never take out my phone, I don’t listen to music.
But still people are reckless, dangerous in their driving, bicycling, even as they run/walk by me.
People will risk their lives to save 5 seconds of time. Every night I see some dumbass running against the light on a big busy street dressed entirely in black. Moms looking at their cell phones as they push the stroller out into an intersection, not checking to confirm a car is turning. Taxis trying to squeeze thru on a yellow that has already turned red. Bicyclists without helmets, without lights, in the dark, splitting lanes. Everyone is at fault. Everyone thinks they are in the right. I can go on forever on this topic.
Another long term downside of being hit by a truck? Rage. I have a lot of rage. Especially towards these morons I watch breaking the traffic rules, making foolish and unsafe choices. This post is already priming me to Hulk out.
But so I focus on myself, on making my movement through this world safer and that includes my new light up bracelet. For my walk home in the dark. My doggies have their lightup collars, and I now have a lightup bracelet I got for $.20 at Goodwill. Besides my ivory bangle, this is my best Goodwill find yet.
Two Valentine’s Day posts in one day? On a day that’s not yet Valentine’s day? Am I crazy? Or should I apologize to you all? Maybe the answer is D. all of the above.
Chairish gave me a promo code to give out!! Hooty hoo. I feel special. It’s almost as awesome as Kay Jewelers sending me unsolicited jewelry, which I continue to hope will happen. BUT SO, Chairish is a great vintage site (art, antiques, jewelry, baby koalas) and I sell jewelry on it here:cute baby koalas that I mentioned earlier, ahem I mean my shop.
So what’s the promo code, Margaret?! You yell at me from across the room. It’s BathSense20 and saves you 20% off until Feb 11th. Plus I’ll include a gift with purchase which may or may not be a cute baby koala.
With the approach of Valentine’s Day Kay Jewelers is going all out with their commercial push. Now, I have kind of a love/hate/love relationship with America’s favorite jewelers. Chocolate diamonds? Please (insert major eye roll). If you give me anything chocolate ever I better be able to eat that isht. No joke. Give me a chocolate diamond I will insist upon eating it. On the other hand… SPARKLY. Lots and lots of sparkly.
Whenever a commercial begins with a kiss that begins with Kay, first I say to my honey “Don’t ever buy me anything from Kay!” Then I say “Wouldn’t it be funny if you bought me something from Kay?” Final stage is blogging about Kay. So. There’s that.
What I’m trying to say is I took a look at Kay. Again.
And Kay did not disappoint. Because this is some weird stuff. Heartbeat monitor necklace? Like what?
Everyday I’m so thankful for your pulse! <— that's what the card should read.
And if that above is the heartbeat necklace, what’s this one? HUH KAY??!!
A flatline necklace, Kay? To send to your enemy.
Everyday I’m so thankful you have no pulse. <—– what this card reads.
Or maybe vampire lover? I don't know. This is all on Kay Jewelers and frankly? I would appreciate an explanation.
Under what rock have I been that I didn’t realize The Walking Dead comes back in FIVE DAYS! First I found a quarter and now this! Everything is going my way today.
Today’s bangles: black Clic-Clac, two little Native American cuffs of mine from back in the day, my lucky figa charm bracelet, and the Fontaine de Bartholdi skinny bangle.
If you are ever in the mood to bawl your eyes out, let me recommend Marley & Me by John Grogan. The book, mind you, not the stupid movie. Grogan offers the truest insight into the hearts of dog lovers ever. We are all masochists; we commit to utterly loving our dogs with full knowledge that one day they will break our hearts. (Oh my god, I am tearing up just writing that.)
Anyway. I fucking love dogs. They make the best people. I think that is an Einstein quote. Or maybe this is: if you ever think a dog can’t count try putting two treats in your pocket and only giving him one.
My entire family is dog people. You should see Thanksgiving at my mom’s house, it’s insane.
As you know, Aaron and I have Bandit & Leroy. Bandit is more like my familiar than my dog, though, and we are psychically linked. (Joking not joking)
What? It was raining out and they are Chihuahuas.
My mom has Blue. He is very rude, his tongue is all the time sticking out.
My brother Clayton has Radar & Otis. Radar’s motto is make war not love. Of all these dogs, she’s the boss. Yep, tiny boss dog gets the big bed and kicks big dog over to the tiny bed.
Below is our newest member, my baby brother George just entered into contract of guaranteed heart break in 14 to 17 years time with Blue Lady Carter.
Finally, my brother Jamie doesn’t (yet) have a dog but he and Bandit have a special relationship.
Anyways, what it means to me to be a dog lover is to try to love them as immensely as they love us but they will always love us more. Because they’re dogs and that’s what they do. Didn’t I say they make the best people?

How out are you with your blogging/social media identities? Becoming Cliche has a great post today on how to twitter. I twitter (@bathsense follow me! I mostly tweet about TWD or the Bachelor, sometimes stuff about my shop), instagram, facebook, tumblr, wordpress (duh)… But I’m not completely “out” about my blog.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out who I am when reading my WordPress blog but it still is a little bit anonymous. Anonymous enough that I haven’t connected it to facebook. Nor do I link my blog to twitter. Oddly it’s not my blog readers that I’m hiding from, it’s my facebook friends. I am so honest and open on here in a way that I’m not comfortable sharing with this mixed bag of people, my facebook friends. Facebook is too full of schadenfreude.
But twitter? To help promote my blog, should I link it to twitter? It’s much more abstract, and I am but a tiny ant in the ocean of tweets (or whatever)… But is it too emotionally risky to push my blogs out to my twitter account? Thereby semi opening my blog up to facebook friends in a roundabout way?
Do you push your blog out to twitter and/or facebook? Any regrets? How open are you about your blogging? Do tell me your experience.
